Short story about an old bicycle.

In late 1940′s my grandfather purchased this bike brand new from a montgomery ward’s store for $38. Then In the early 50′s my grandfather joined the service and loaned the bike to his neighbor friend Charles and their family.

After many years Charles then returned the bike to my father around the time I was born in the 80′s. The bike sat in our building my whole life until my father and I pulled it out last summer. My parents then had it restored and gave it to me for christmas. While home I met Charles who still had the original headtube badge in a tool box.

I then got to show my grandfather his bike he had not seen in many years, restored and pretty much all original. This bike is awesome and now its mine forever!
